B.I.D. completed a busy year in 2016. We started the year completing the design, manufacture and modular assembly of several belt conveyors for a cement client in Quebec. These thirteen (13) belt conveyors ranged from 24″ wide up to 72″ wide belts, handling variety of materials such as clinker, petcoke, gypsum, iron ore, limestone and pozzolan.  The project included over 6,600 ft of stringers, trusses, galleries, all bents, diverter gates and chutes.

As this cement project was delivered, we won the order for the supply of eight (8) 24″ wide belt conveyors for a mineral processing client who is restarting a dormant mine in Newfoundland.  The project included several hundred feet of trusses, bents, and associated chutes.  We completed and shipped these conveyors in late 2016/early 2017.

Currently we are building several cladded galleries for a wood chip handling belt conveyors for a woodroom upgrade project in Maine.  Once complete, these 48″ wide belt conveyors will feed chips directly into the client’s pulp & paper process.

B.I.D. Canada has also completed several fabrication projects for non-conveyor applications, including highway bridge expansion joints, traffic barriers, deck drains, and transmission tower poles for electrical transmission.
