B.I.D.’s design and manufacturing facility is located in the scenic Saint John River Valley, near the town of Woodstock, which has a population of 5,000 but with the services of a town of 20,000. Neighboring communities are Centreville, Florenceville-Bristol, Hartland, Meductic, Nackawic, Debec and Houlton (U.S.). The provincial capital city, Fredericton,  is only an hour away. The region has affordable real estate and abundant recreational opportunities.

There are several other employers in the area. Among them are the corporate headquarters for McCain Foods, Barrett Diversified, Thomas Equipment, Sabian Cymbals, and Craig Manufacturing. The federal and provincial governments also have a  significant presence.
 
Educational facilities include the public system, private Christian schools, a Bible College, and the New Brunswick Provincial Community College.
