For our latest Employee Spotlight, we’re getting to know Edward Balogh, who brings two decades of manufacturing experience to the McDonough/BID Canada team.

Originally from Ontario, Edward and his family made a big change in 2022 when they relocated to New Brunswick and settled in Grand Falls. Looking back, Edward says the move has been one of the best decisions he could have made for his family. He has enjoyed the opportunity to raise his kids in New Brunswick and make plenty of new memories together along the way.

Before making the move east, Edward spent 20 years working in the automotive manufacturing industry in Ontario. Over those two decades, he gained extensive experience in manufacturing while developing a strong background in teamwork, problem-solving and adapting to an industry that is always changing.

Now, Edward is bringing that experience to McDonough/BID Canada while also taking the opportunity to learn a different side of manufacturing. He is looking forward to sharing what he has learned throughout his career, continuing to develop his own skills and contributing to the team for years to come.

For Edward, though, life outside of work is all about family. He is a father of three, with two sons and a daughter, and is also a grandfather. When he has some downtime, he enjoys spending time with his kids, hiking, staying active at the gym and following Formula 1. He’ll also fit in a little gaming when he gets the chance.

Starting with a new company after 20 years in another part of the manufacturing industry is a significant change, but Edward is looking forward to what comes next.

“I’m glad to have joined the team here at McDonough/BID Canada. It’s a great new adventure I’ve started, and I look forward to learning new things, passing on the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years, and continuing to contribute and grow with the company for years to come.”

We’re glad to have Edward and his years of manufacturing experience as part of the team and look forward to seeing where this next chapter takes him!
